Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

Perth is a fantastic city, particularly for those with children. It’s family friendly with plenty to do and the weather is stunning. The beaches are sensational with many a walkway located alongside them. Cafes are abundant and cater for all, as are restaurants with prices to suit all budgets. People in Perth are also so friendly, great place to visit or stay on.

Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town.
Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town. Its dead as a door nail most nights. Just as expensive as Singapore but not even close to being as vibrant and interesting. Give it a miss at all costs if you can.

There is a general opinion that Perth is the most isolated city in the world. Maybe geographically, but one doesn't feel that because Perth is a vibrant city, with a selection of great shops, wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars and the views to die for! There is so much to do for any visitor and a short drive away will take you to some spectacular nature phenomenon. The beaches all around Perth can compete with the best in the world, and all of them offer great eateries in the neighbourhood. The public transport is great and free within the city. A double-decker tourist bus is a great start to the trip and recommended.

Obviously as the State captial, central to all events and tourist sites. Clean and relatively small in comparison to state captials around Australia. A good starting point for visits to Western Australia.

Clean city with plenty to offer all.
Clean city with plenty to offer all. Greenery with some beautiful trees and kings park is a must for a view of the city and river. From the metro south a short drive or walkable if you’re a bit fitter, there is a lovely ferry into the city.
The best thing about the Pagoda is the price; a spacious 2 bedroom apartment is much more affordable than a comparably sized hotel room in the city. We had a car so still easy to get to and explore Perth CBD/Northbridge which is relatively close.
The staff in the hotel restaurant at breakfast-time were gracious and patient.
The suburb where the hotel is located is pleasant for exploring (IMO).
The free street parking for your car is great.
This is right on the water. Great places to eat. The Peach Pit burger was delicious. Markets outside from Thurs to Sun. Coles is across the road. Two excellent laneway coffee shops worth trying. The sunset on the grassy hill in front of the hotel is a must. We booked a tour of Rottnest island, which picked us up at the hotel and dropped us back from Hillary’s dock. Highly recommend doing this trip for a Perth first timer.
what is there not to love about the European Hotel Perth? This is a Sweden themed hotel which reminds me of the fantastic lifestyle of the part of the world with all the wonderful service and friendly stuff that you expect in Scandinavia. In particular the receptionist during daytime was an exceptionally charming witty and nice person. I recommend a certain who anyone who wants a good stay with an excellent value
We had an early chech in and can only be grateful since we were really tired after long hours flight. The hotel is great, the location was super good, near Perth station, restaurants and cafes. Even the room was small, we hanged out in the shared area. Loved you could have a coffe at any time, a fruit and cold water. Really loved the overall vibe.
The hotel location was great. just on the edge of the Central sightseeing, it's just a 5 minutes away from shopping area including food, but not too crowd. The hotel was well maintained. super clean, like new. the access to public transport is excellent, CAT bus is just in front of the hotel. Perth central station is just 5 minutes away.
Very clean, the staff were awesome and very accommodating. I ordered breakfast a couple times and they really do go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Free parking is a bonus because most hotels in Perth charge ridiculous amounts. Every single staff member on every shift day and night made our stay enjoyable.
it’s not a hotel but a small number of en suite room / apartments in a lovely building in central Perth. The room is big enough with good facilities and some thoughtful and practical touches that were very appreciated. I was also able to leave my case while I explored Perth after I’d checked out.
Location in s amazing, easy access to beach and the view really is great. Convenient access to grocery and a variety of dining options for all times of day. Easy to get to Perth CBD or other attractions. Appreciated the kitchen furnishings, able to prepare full meals during extended stay.
This hotel is very well located, specially if you are visiting the convention center, only a 2 minute walk.
Its 10 to 15 minutes away from CBD and only 10 minutes away from the WOOLWORTHS at St. Georges Terrace.
The rooms are quite comfortable. The bathroom is huge.
Fantastic location, right in the heart of Perth's entertainment and cultural district. Very close to the train station too. Very modern hotel, the shared eating and relaxing areas were very welcome. The included breakfast was very healthy and delicious.
Convenient location in the middle of Perth CBD. 15 min walk to restaurants and bars in Northbridge. Less than 5 mins walk from McIvor and Perth railway stations. Not too far from the Swan River at Elizabeth Quay.
Good serviced apartment - standard Quest setup and service. Location is good (East perth) and convenient to public transport and cat bus. walking distance to CBD services.
The location was right in the CBD, lots of shops within walking distance. Easy to get to everywhere. Hotel staff was really nice and helpful. Room was spacious and clean.
Great experience. Loved this hotel and will certainly book again when next in Perth. The apartment was well appointed and very clean. The staff were so helpful.
I cannot fault the customer service of this hotel. It’s my favourite place to stay along this strip in Perth. The staff always go above and beyond to assist.
